At Fujirebio Diagnostics, Inc., we utilize our worldwide distribution network to enable access to our diagnostic products by physicians and patients across the world. The MESOMARK® kit, the first assay to measure the presence of mesothelioma is manufactured with the same standard of excellence as our original antibodies. In the past, Fujirebio Diagnostics antibodies have been utilized to develop a menu of in vitro diagnostic tests. These assays include:
- CA 125II™
- CA 19-9™
- CA 15-3®
- CA 72-4®*
- CYFRA21-1™*
Today, we are pleased to introduce the world's first biomarker for mesothelioma.
The MESOMARK test is a two-step immunoassay used to quantitate the presence of the Soluble Mesothelin-Related Peptides (SMRP) in human serum using enzyme immunoassay technology with colorimetric detection in a standard Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) microplate sandwich assay format. Two separate monoclonals are used; one for capturing SMRP, the other for the detection of SMRP. Detection is accomplished by the addition of a standard chromogenic substrate that binds to the HRP-labeled monoclonal antibody. A direct relationship exists between the amount of SMRP in the sample and the Optical Density (OD) detected by the spectrophotometric microtiter plate reader.
