Dr. Olle Nilsson
Vice President of Business Development
Dr. Nilsson is Vice President and Chief Scientific Officer and site manager of Fujirebio Diagnostics AB, Göteborg, Sweden. In this position, Dr. Nilsson oversees the day-to-day operations and manages the Research & Development department in Sweden.
Dr. Nilsson joined Fujirebio Diagnostics, as a result of the merger between Fujirebio Diagnostics, Inc. and CanAg Diagnostics AB, in May 2006. He was one of the co-founders of CanAg Diagnostics in 1992 and has been responsible for the development of the product and project portfolio as well as research competence within serological cancer diagnostics at CanAg Diagnostics.
Dr. Nilsson is a biochemist and immunochemist with more than 25 years of academic and industrial experience within different areas of biochemistry and cancer diagnostics based on monoclonal antibodies. Dr. Nilsson holds several patents and patent applications within this area and has published approximately 70 scientific papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals. He is a member of the International Society of Oncodevelopmental Biology and Medicine (ISOBM) and the European Group on Tumour Markers (EGTM).
Prior to the establishment of CanAg Diagnostics, AB in 1992, Dr. Nilsson held resources and development positions at Pharmacia Diagnostics, Stena Diagnostics and at Gothenburg University.
Dr. Nilsson received his Master of Science degree from Uppsala University and his PhD from Gothenburg University. He was named Associate Professor of Gothenburg University in 1985.
